Multiple times during my undergraduate career, I have been given the opportunity to add to my educational experience and construct various models by hand. This type of "learning by doing" is a great way to become actively engaged in a project and improve my problem solving abilities.  For my first model construction, I was asked to simply deconstruct the form of the box.

Later, I constructed a three dimensional apartment inspired by architect Ricardo Legoretta. After I hand drafted the floorplans, elevations, and facades in a design reflective of Legoretta's work and ideals, I used these plans to create a to-scale model with a detachable roof and side from chipboard.
